Valued Vology customers were in for a treat when we teamed up with the Tampa Bay Lightning to offer our second VIP Hockey Experience. With a record number of guests and a special appearance by the Lightning, it was a day that won't be soon forgotten.

IMG_1315.jpgThe Tuesday, January 10th event at Amalie Arena began in the Lexus Lounge, where the red carpet is truly rolled out for guests. The area is near the locker rooms with seats just feet from the ice. Lexus Lounge ticket holders are able to indulge in unlimited premium dining and beverage options and ice-level view of warm-ups and game action. Platinum valet service and private restrooms are also available.

After enjoying breakfast and rubbing elbows with ThunderBug, 51 Vology customers embarked on a more than hour-long behind-the-scenes tour of Amalie Arena. Rhett Blewett, Director of Facility and Event Services, led the way. From where they store the turf for the Tampa Bay Storm to a stunning 300-level view of the downtown skyline, participants were in awe of the 670,000 square feet building.

Guests' jaws dropped when they realized the Lightning IMG_1343.jpgwere on actually on the ice! Vology customers had the opportunity to watch the
team practice throughout the duration of the event. In case you were wondering... the athletes were taller than most people expected.

The next stop... lunch in the Vology Loge in the arena's north end. Vology is an official partner of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Loge features chef-inspired food and beverages, private restrooms, and in-seat technology. Filet mignon, grouper, and chicken feta were Tuesday's main dishes.

Customers were also given time to network with our key vendor partners: Brocade, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HP Inc., Kaspersky Lab, Juniper Networks, and Microsoft.

"The VIP Hockey Experience is the perfect opportunity to spend four hours interacting with our customers, uninterrupted," says Michael Tuttle, Juniper Networks Partner Account Manager for Vology.

Sean Walker, VP of Innovations and Technology, welcomed  our valued customers to Amalie Arena. He spoke about the Lightning's strong partnership with Vology.

Shortly after, Hockey 201 was in session with Dave Andreychuk. Andreychuk was the captain of the Lightning's 2004 Stanley Cup Championship team. He is a two-time National Hockey League All-Star over his 23 years in the NHL.

Guests who attended last year's VIP Hockey Experience learned the basis of hockey in the Lightning University's Hockey 101. In this year's Hockey 201, Vology customers built on that knowledge, exploring the strategy of the game, offensive and defensive plays, and how the power-play and penalty kill works.

IMG_1450.jpgThe event concluded with giveaways: Beats by Dr. Dre Powerbeats 2 wireless earbud headphones, a one-year Amazon Prime membership, a Bose Soundlink Bluetooth Speaker II, and more. Two lucky guests went home with a signed puck and stick from Tyler Johnson, a Lightning centerman.

"Thanks for inviting us to the VIP Hockey Experience and getting us out of the office for a couple of hours!" says Steve Ward, Pepin Distributing Company. "We really enjoyed the experience and appreciate Vology for inviting us."

Vology’s Director of Sales, Dan Harte says, "This is one of our favorite events. We not only get to engage with our customers about their business, but showcase our capabilities and the value that Vology can bring to local organizations, such as Amalie Arena."

Thank you to all of our valued customers who attended Vology's VIP Hockey Experience! We can't wait to do it again!
